Art Journaling for Beginners
Jeni will also be working on her art journal in-person on Saturday September 25, 2021 from 1pm-3pm at the plaza outside of the Richmond Cultural Centre. Come and try out her art journaling materials!
An art journal is like a personal diary but with both pictures and words. Art journaling is a way to record our thoughts and feelings and to exercise our creativity muscles. It can also be fun and very therapeutic.
In the Art Journaling for Beginners video, Jeni will show you several techniques that you can utilize to start your own art journal with materials easily accessible or readily found around the house.
She will demonstrate step-by-step on how to create a self-portrait or personal symbol that inspires you and brings you joy. Scroll down for a list of suggested materials and a cheat sheet for drawing a cartoon head self-portrait.
Come join us during BC Culture Days!
